Those two words inspired our design for this beautiful couple and their epic Colorado wedding. Our bride and groom longed for a religious ceremony, however, they explained the place they felt most connected to their faith was in the glorious mountains of Colorado, amongst nature. Wholeheartedly embracing both desires, we imagined and produced an open-air chapel complete with “stained glass” windows for this duo. The result? It was almost as if you could touch the heavens that day!
As Delicate as a Hummingbird’s Wing
During the design process, our bride mentioned her grandmother’s love of hummingbirds and how she wished her recently departed matriarch could have seen her wedding day. To honor her memory, we filled the celebration with a hummingbird motif—from the escort cards, to the dance floor, to the rose gold feeders we displayed throughout the birch grove where cocktails took place.
And when a charm of hummingbirds arrived just in time for the reception, whimsically dancing above our guests, jumping from feeder to feeder, we knew magic had been created that day. Grandma was there, celebrating with her family in spirit.
