A Weekend in the Country
It’s rather hard to outdo Mother Nature when her autumnal beauty is on full display in the Hudson Valley. Instead, we wholeheartedly embraced it at this couple’s casual, open-air rehearsal dinner at Grasmere Farm.
Guests gathered around enticing, interactive, culinary offerings being prepared over crackling fires scattered across the bucolic landscape. Personalized wraps and warm drinks kept guests outside comfortable while seated at farmhouse-style lounges or tables; while pastoral tent and indoor barn areas offered cozy spots for conversation and a retreat from the crisp country air. A fitting end to this evening under the stars, we said good night to our guests with toasted S’mores!
A Fête for the Senses
From delightfully rustic to utterly refined, our couple’s unforgettable wedding day was a change of pace.
Paying homage to the historic Stanford White architecture of Astor Courts, we envisioned a wedding where the theatricality of our decor highlighted the grand design already on display. A textural swath of autumnal floral at the ceremony was mirrored during dinner with an aerial “quilt” of fabrics that wrapped the tent (and the guests underneath) in warm, textural, and joyful color. And the final exclamation point to the celebration? Why an exotic Moroccan themed after party of course that kept fires of romance burning well into the early morning.
