Here’s the Story of a Lovely Lady
Unconventional is an understatement. This couple joyfully colors outside the lines in life, so it was only natural they broke all the rules at their fabulously unorthodox, second wedding celebration.
Tasked with the challenge from our bride: “not one single ‘wedding-y’ flower at this party!” we set out to make magic of a different sort. Inspired by the modern architecture of their residence, we created a sleek, contemporary ceremony with architectural botanicals that highlighted, but did not overshadow, what was truly important to our couple: the two families they were joining together with their love.
Much More Than a Hunch
After the ceremony, guests were invited to an elevated, but nonconformist, reception. A balance of residential comforts and industrial design was the perfect combination for this bride and groom. We juxtaposed custom upholstered dining furniture and decorative wood dining tables with an eccentric and wild Edison bulb, light installation that swept through the entire reception tent, leaving guests in awe.
And as for that infamous request of our bride?
Instead of typical, fresh floral collections, we created preserved centerpieces by shrouding blossoms in white gypsum and displaying them atop delicate metal stilts. No typical wedding flowers here, only Mother Nature’s artistry untouched by time. ll the difference.
