When given the opportunity to design the Tony Award viewing party and post-show celebration for a history-making, record-breaking Broadway juggernaut like Hamilton: An American Musical, you bring your A-game.

While the party’s springtime floral and decor (inspired by the colors and fabrics of the Schuyler Sisters’ costumes) reigned throughout the sprawling Tavern on the Green, the heart of the party was found on the open-air dance floor. Floating above a holographic tiled floor, we reimagined the iconic Hamilton star as a golden disco ball that would end up traveling around the country, defining every Hamilton opening night celebration that followed. With Questlove on the turntables, it’s no wonder this soirée lasted until the sun came up over Central Park.

After all, we were not going to miss our shot!
