Hollywood’s most anticipated night of 2017 was not the Oscars; it was the opening of Hamilton: An American Musical. This star-studded affair was the party of the season and we did not dare disappoint the legends of film, television, and theater that would grace the celebration.

By using the show as our muse, we created environments inspired by the prodigiously accomplished and diverse ensemble cast. A neutral palette (reminiscent of the actors’ costuming) was the basis for our design, allowing meticulously selected colors and textures to “pop” throughout the evening like the individual talents of the ensemble. What resulted was the consummate marriage of L.A. and N.Y.C.: after sufficient schmoozing beneath the Hollywood palm trees, everyone ended up beneath our Hamilton star disco ball—enjoying a Manhattan-worthy dance party!
