Color Taken to New Heights

When you first walk in to the Performing Arts Theater Lobby at SUNY Purchase, you notice one thing: a graphically jarring and densely confusing carpet design. At first glance, this pattern seems like a collection rectangles, but in fact reflects the floor plan of the four theaters that make up the arts center. While most would see this as a design barrier, we saw it as an opportunity to celebrate color.
